In recent years, we have all become aware of the issues of recycling and climate change. Inevitably, Cyprus is dependent on fossil fuels for all types of energy generation. We at Blue Circle Engineering, pioneers in supply and usege of LPG, we inform you that from all fossil fuels LPG is the only (along with Natural Gas) that has the least impact on the environment. That is why we provide the following information to prove that LPG, apart from being an ideal fuel for any use, is also the most environmentally friendly with almost no impact.
LPG produces about 45% less Carbon Dioxide than diesel. It also produces 33% less Carbon Dioxide than gasoline. LPG has lower hydrocarbon emissions. It is known to have about 70% less emissions than diesel and about 40% less compared to gasoline.
"LPG does, however, release less CO2 per unit of energy than that of coal or oil. It emits 81% of the CO2 per kWh produced by oil, 70% of that of coal, and less than 50% of that emitted by coal-generated electricity distributed via the grid. Being a mix of propane and butane, LPG emits less carbon per joule than butane but more carbon per joule than propane."
When LPG is used in vehicles, it produces much less Nitrogen Oxide. Compared with gasoline, it is less by nearly 82%. The best comparison comes from diesel. LPG is thought to be 99% better than diesel in relation to Nitrogen Dioxide emissions. Results show that LPG emits 63% less Carbon Monoxide and this is a great advantage. When comparing LPG with other fossil fuels, it has been found to be really kinder to the environment. Liquefied petroleum Gas burns cleaner than diesel or gasoline and has lower CO2 emissions. In Cyprus, there is still the use of crude oil mainly for the production of electricity, although its use in the rest of the EU is forbidden. The CO2 emissions of the crude oil may be slightly lower than diesel but has much higher emissions of Sulfur Dioxide (S02) than diesel, which is corrosive and dangerous to our health where it can cause severe coughing and chest tightness *. But it is still used to operate steam boilers ... * https://www.environment.gov.au/protection/publications/factsheet-sulfur-dioxide-so2
At this point, let us emphasize that no organized body or organization has done anything to ban the use of crude oil in Cyprus, and no environmental organization dares to go against the establishment that has profits of millions
